Triumphing in that day's transaction
A rough start of a younger Thomas Jefferson as he would have appeared in 1776.
"You will think me transported with enthusiasm; but I am not. I am well aware of the toil, and blood, and treasure, that it will cost us to maintain this declaration, and support and defend these states. Yet, through all the gloom, I can see the rays of light and glory. I can see that the end is more than worth all the means, and that posterity will triumph in that day's transaction."
-John Adams in a letter to Abigail on July 3, 1776
Not only is today the day we celebrate independence, but it is the anniversary of the deaths of both Adams and Thomas Jefferson, who died on July 4, 1826.
I've still got a lot to work out with this one, a portrait of Brandon.
